Markree Castle – Sligo Wedding Venue
Markree Castle is an authentic, historistic Irish Castle located in the north-west of Ireland on the route of the world-famous Wild Atlantic Way and just 10 minutes drive from my home. I couldn’t be more lucky to have one of the finest castles in Ireland just around the corner. I have had many occasions of shooting weddings in there and I can assure you that this is one place that can offer you everything in one package. Beautifully set in the heart of the rolling Sligo countryside and surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens, which are a perfect location for all kind of wedding photography – from your formal group family photos to your intimate, chilled Bride & Groom session. You must note that this is an exclusive hire venue so can offer privacy and intimacy for you and all your wedding guests during your whole stay. An added bonus is that you will get to meet new friend – the Irish Wolfhound Roisin that lives at the castle, has an amazing personality and loves photos.
