Today, I am thrilled to share a stunning slideshow featuring highlights from Clodagh & Alistair’s unforgettable wedding day at the breathtaking Markree Castle. This magical Irish venue provided the perfect backdrop for their celebration, from the early morning preparations to the evening’s joyous festivities. Every moment was filled with elegance, love, and the charm of a true fairytale wedding.

As a documentary-style wedding photographer based just 10 kilometers from Markree Castle, I have had the privilege of working at this venue many times. Its historic charm, picturesque gardens, and timeless interiors make it one of my favorite places to capture love stories. Both Clodagh and Alistair began their day within the castle’s luxurious suites. Clodagh prepared with her bridesmaids in the bridal suite, while Alistair got ready just downstairs in a beautifully designed room near the Butler’s Kitchen. Having both the Bride and Groom on-site made the morning relaxed and seamless. It allowed plenty of time to capture candid moments, soak in the excitement, and truly enjoy the experience without the stress of rushing between locations.

The wedding ceremony took place in Markree Castle’s iconic chapel, one of the most stunning venues I’ve ever photographed. The chapel’s classic yet dramatic Gothic design, complete with tall stained-glass windows and rich colors, creates an atmosphere that is both intimate and grand. Clodagh and Alistair exchanged vows surrounded by their loved ones, filling the chapel with laughter, happy tears, and unforgettable memories.
